Sianok canyon is a steep valley (cliff) located in the border town of Bukittinggi, in district IV Koto, Agam regency, West Sumatra. The valley is elongated and meandering as the southern boundary of the city to the canyon Koto Gadang Sianok Anam tribe villages, and ended in the district Palupuh. Sianok canyon has beautiful views and is also one of the prime tourist attractions of the province.

Sianok deep gorge about 100 m, stretches along 15 km with a width of about 200 m, and is part of the fault that separates the island of Sumatra in half lengthwise (Semangko fault). Fault forms the steep wall, even perpendicular and form a green valley-down motion results from the earth's crust (sinklinal)-which flowed Sianok rod (rod means river, the Minangkabau language) that the water is clear. In the Dutch colonial era, the gulf is also called buffalo sanget karbouwengat or, because of the many free-living wild buffalo in the bottom of the gorge.
